Our partnership with Scotmid

Nicola Sturgeon being shown how a defibrillator works in a Semi Chem store

A new partnership initiative started in 2011 between the Service and Scotmid.

Defibrillators for community use are being placed in a number of Scotmid and Semi-chem (owned by Scotmid) stores in Glasgow and several locations in the north of Scotland. The Glasgow locations have been chosen because they are close to the venues for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Shop staff will be trained in using the defibrillators and public information about the availability and value of defibrillators will be available in store as well as to institutions and key groups in the area.
