As well as the unplanned emergency care, the Scottish Ambulance Service has a very important role to play in ensuring that patients can attend their pre-arranged hospital appointments. Last year we completed more than 1.6 million patient journeys, with an annual patient satisfaction level of 97%
Our Patient Transport Service is a core function and ensure that we are providing an all round level of patient care throughout Scotland.
Transport is often arranged by the hospital, the GP or the individual themselves and eligibility is dependant upon the medical condition and where the patient lives.
The service operates with a wide range of different vehicles appropriate to the different types of patient we serve.
If you think that you have excellent people skills and can work flexibly and with all groups of people, then one of our Ambulance Care Assistants or Driver positions might be right for you.
