To make sure that the service you receive meets your medical needs you will be asked some basic questions about your mobility and home access. It is important that you provide correct and accurate information as this will enable us to send the most appropriate type of transport for your medical need and/or mobility needs.
You could be asked about:
- do you have steps outside your house?
- do you need to be lifted up steps?
- do you need the assistance of two people?
- do you have a ramp at your house?
- are you a wheelchair user?
- if you require to be carried, is the access to your house limited/hindered by any fixed structures (i.e. building design, narrow hallways with acute turns)
Is there any additional information which you feel would be useful for the ambulance service to know then please let the person booking your appointment in advance.
