Patient Transport Service

An Ambulance Care Assistant

Almost 1.3 million patients are taken to and from hospital by our Patient Transport Service each year. Our responsibility is to provide a service for patients with a medical need or with limited mobility. Our Patient Transport Service takes patients to and from their pre-arranged hospital appointments, or for their admission and discharge to hospital.

If you live in NHS Highland (except Argyll and Bute), NHS Grampian, NHS Shetland, NHS Western Isles or NHS Orkney then you can call the Scottish Ambulance Service direct on 0300 123 1236

We are currently running a three year programme of changes to improve the service.
