In October 2009, the Scottish Ambulance Service began a national consultation and engagement exercise with patients, carers, community groups, NHS Boards, emergency services and other key stakeholders to talk about the re-procurement of the next generation air ambulance.

PTS Improvement Plan
In the last two years we have been working with patients, the public, staff and other stakeholders in reviewing the Patient Transport Service. We have now started a three year programme of improvement.
