Having gathered wide range of views from Shetland to Stranraer, which have been captured in the Consultation Findings document, the tender specification has been developed. A tender notice was placed in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) in December 2010. A pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) was sent to those responding to the notice in the OJEU as well as an invitation to an open day, which was held in January 2011. This provided an opportunity to ask questions about the air ambulance service and the procurement process before submitting a response in the pre-qualification questionnaire. The Service is in the process of conducting a robust evaluation of PQQ submissions.
