January 2010 - Launch of Strategic Framework, “Working Together for Better Patient Care 2010-2015”
May 2010 - Start of the Scottish Ambulance Service & NHS Lanarkshire pilot at Hairmyres hospital in physiotherapy, anticoagulation & RADAR services
July 2010 - Stakeholder event for Scheduled Services Programme
Autumn 2010 - Commencement of a short life Patient Transport Service project called “PTS Learn and Improve”.
March 2011 - Scheduled Services Workshop, share the findings of the PTS Learn and Improve team and discuss improvement ideas
April-May 2011 - Four workshops held across Scotland on the proposed reconfiguration of the call handling function, within the Service
June-July 2011 - Equality Impact Assessment workshops focusing on, “Improving access to the Patient Transport Service” conducted in seven locations in Scotland
Summer 2011 - Business Case approved for the Patient Transport Improvement Programme
September 2011 - Draft workshop feedback sent out for comment.
Winter 2011/12 - Final comments in to the Service
January 2012 - Feedback Matrix published with Service responses
Spring 2012 - Preparing for the launch of the new direct patient booking line for the North Region on the 23 April
